Anita Meador

ABOUT ANITA

Anita has a Master’s Degree in Instructional Design and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Education. An instructional designer evaluates the needs of learners and creates instruction to effectively meet those needs. She taught students with special needs and at-risk students in the public school for 34 years. She loves and has been involved with many children and their stories are reflected in her stories. Anita writes, edits, creates, and innovates.
As an educator, Anita believes in school choice and innovative alternatives to traditional schools. All students deserve to be in an educational environment that is suited to their needs. They deserve to be in a school that will lead to a good job and a happy productive life.
Anita has written many educational curriculums and has written for and received numerous grants. Anita has done teacher training and has led integrated learning projects. Along with teaching, Anita was assistant drama director. Directing, casting, costume designing, house management, workshops are all in her experience. Anita sponsored a radio station where students gained experience in deejaying and also sponsored an improvisation group. She has served on state education committees and on the board of a vocational center.
Anita has worked in internet marketing, customer service, and had an antique business. She loves to read, sew, design, and collect Margaret Keane prints. She is a published author with a number of publications including the Susie Bear and Addie children’s series, and co-authored Laws of Life books with Judge Fred Mosely with many more to come.
Her purpose in joining the staff of Another Chance is to encourage people to find success, give accurate information based on solid research and facts, make life a little better for children, families, the mentally ill, and the incarcerated, build a community of proactive people to make a positive social impact, and help new entrepreneurs find a path to economic growth and prosperity. Presently, she serves as Creative Director and Editor in Chief at Another Chance.
